More and more, customers are requesting to Automate their Batch Integral Quench Furnace Lines.  Automation provides for precise material handling of the loads, complete traceability of the process and parts, and lowers the maintenance on the equipment as well as other benefits.

IntelliTrax – Batch Automation & SCADA System

IntelliTrax is an automated Batch Furnace Line control system.  Temperature, atmosphere and furnace sequence control for all the equipment is integrated into a single control system.

IntelliTrax features a desktop PC running the IntelliTrax software.  This communicates via Ethernet to Allen Bradley PLC’s on each of the Integral Quenches, Charge Car and the supervisory PLC located in the SCADA cabinet.  The supervisory PC controls the Draws, Washers, Coolers and Pre-heat units.

Modes of Operation

IntelliTrax has two (2) modes of operation: automatic and manual.  In automatic mode, IntelliTrax will track the location of all parts entered into the system, the time they are loaded and unloaded from each piece of equipment and will direct the Charge Car to move the loads from one piece of equipment to another provided conditions warrant.

In manual mode, IntelliTrax will do all of the same functions with the exception of directing the Charge Car to move loads.  This function must be accomplished by the operator from the IntelliTrax terminal overview screen.
