Eagle Carbottom Furnace

Carbottom Furnaces are heavy duty and can be used for a variety of applications such as Hardening, Annealing, Preheating, Normalizing, Annealing and Tempering/Stress Relieving.  The Carbottom Furnaces can be loaded/unloaded via a fork lift, overhead crane or by a manipulator.

Carbottom Furnaces are designed with capacities up to 300,000 lbs. and temperature ranges to 2300F. Lightweight fiber linings and rugged car refactory, coupled with state-of-the-art pulse-fired, heating systems offer a 40% gas savings with excellent uniformity and heating rates. Drive systems and door design choices (guillotine or car type) are customized to your application. Options include recuperation, instrumentation, and customized pier loading areas.

Direct Fired or Indirect Heating systems are available for our Carbottom Furnaces.  For Indirect Heating, we offer both gas fired radiant tube systems as well as electrically heated systems.  The Indirect Heating allows for atmosphere usage such as Endothermic, Nitrogen, and Argon.

Lift Cover Furnaces are similar to Carbottom Furnaces and are available as well.  The Lift Cover Furnace is designed where the furnace is lifted from the base and the car/base rolls out from under the furnace for unloading and loading.  For production reason, this type of furnace will be equipped with a second car/base that can be preloaded while the other car/base is being unloaded.
